I'm super-delighted and honored to be playing with these excellent songwriters (and band). This event is happening 10 days from November 7th (the day I'm posting this.)...may be obvious to you, but such things are seldom so to me.

I've never been to this venue. The map seems to indicate that it is closest to the "Central Ave" stop on the M line.

Their site says:

"The Brooklyn Tea Party is located at 175 Stockholm St. in Bushwick, Brooklyn, in the Tea Factory Building. We are four people and one cat. All of the people make music. The cat is a cat. We do shows for our friends in the city and from out of town, fun get-togethers for people we love and respect. We can't make you famous, but we can share our warmth with you. All shows at our house cost $3-5 for touring bands and general upkeep. Here are some ground rules we'd like you to follow at shows:
1. Pay the Bands
2. Respect Chuck Noblitt
3. Don't drink what you didn't buy (w/o asking)
4. Smoke on the roof, drink in the house
5. Don't f@$ up our stuff (materialist as it may seem, we like our house and we like having shows, and would hate to not have either)."

You may have heard STEVE ESPINOLA playing piano with the Teenage Prayers, Steve Wynn, The Sprinkle Genies, The Dan Emery Mystery Band, The Moldy Peaches, Debby Schwartz, (Tammy Faye Starlite's) The Mike Hunt Band, Raul Rothblatt's Dallam-Dougou, or Tom Warnick & the World's Fair, among many others. His primary project is a singer-songwriter act featuring piano, 2-stringed long-necked dotar, and 19-string punk electric tennis racket (the latter two intruments are homemade). His music is a Fats-Waller - shares-a-bong-with-Brian-Wilson - while - Marianne-Moore - buys-insurance - from - Wallace-Stevens - and - Isabella-Rossellini - eyes - Stanley-Tucci - in-Big-Night sort of hybrid. He is me.

If we were tripping on peyote and walking along in the desert, and we came upon a mysterious hallucinogenic lounge right there in our path, and it was dark and glowing and strangely comfortable inside, the piano player at that lounge would be Steve Espinola. --Tony Rubin, Recording Angels
